Comparison

In Burton's version the Hatter plays a bigger than he does in the book, he is in a lot more of the scenes.  Also Alice is a lot older in Burton's version.  The doormouse in the book is male and a lot bigger, also he is sleepy all the time.  In the Burton's version the doormouse is female and really small shel also has a lot of energy.  The Hare seems kind of the same in both book and movie because he is just insane.  The cheshire cat is somewhat the same too because he is somewhat wise in both movies, also he seems a little creepy because of his smile.  It adds to what I have read by putting images in my head of what the characters are like and how they act.  The things that are different though is Alice is just a girl in the book, but in the movie she is an older teen.  Also the hatter looks a lot crazier in the movie than from how he does looking at the pictures in the book.  The way the movie and book are somewhat similar is because like the queen is a hag in both because she wants to chop everyone's head off.  Also a bunch of crazy things happen in both movie and book which is kind of similar.  I'm more of a movie guy though so I enjoyed the movie more becasue it didn't really take any effort to watch it.

White Rabbit

The White Rabbit has so far been having to deal with a lot of Alice's mishaps.  When he first sees her down in the hallway he is probably wondering why she is so big.  He becomes scraed which causes him to lose the fan and the gloves he has.  So he takes off back to his house becasue he is worried about running late to meet the queen.  As he gets back to his house he sees Alice again, but mistakes her for one of his maids and tells her to look for gloves for hi.  She ends up growing in his house which maked him upset becasue he can't get back in there to get what he needs to leave.  So a lot of this time the rabbit is angry and nervous that he won't make it in time to see the queen.

Short bio of Lewis Carroll

Lewis Carroll's real name was Charles Dodgson, he was the oldest boy of then family with seven girls and four boys.  He was born in Daresbury, Cheshire on January 27, 1832.  Dodgson attended Richmond School, Yorkshire for a year, and then Rugby School for four years.  He then spent another year being tutored by his father.  He endured many illnesses, one which left him deaf in one ear.  He excelled in mathematics and divinity studies.

Dodgson had a natural affinity for children.  He spoke naturally and easily with children, which was a relief to him becasue he suffered from a bad stammer.  He held a special high place in his affections for the children of Henry George Liddel, Dean of Christ Church.  There names were Alice, Lorina, and Edith Liddel.  Alice in Wonderland grew out of Dodgson's interest with the Liddel children.

Favorite Book

I would say I don't really have a favorite book, but I do have a favorite series of books this being The Hardy Boys series.  I encountered these books about my freshman year of High School.  These books were my favorite because they involved mystery, and kept you wondering until the end of the book.
